I have been using fountain pens, ball point pens, roller ball (very limited), Gel pens, Liquid ink pens (very limited).
While most of the FP inks are not waterproof, some of them are – some of them are water resistant, and very few are water-proof and are even called “bullet-proof”. Ball point pen inks being oil based are definitely all water proof.
However, I have never found such any information for the non FP inks like Gel, Roller ball, and Liquid ink pens. So, I thought I will review them here. I hope this would be useful to some in selecting their gel/roller/liquid ink pen
The following were used:

5) Flair Writometer (Gel)
6) Schmidt 888 F (Roller)
7) Uni Click Gel (Gel)
8) Cello Xpert (Liquid ink)
9) Rotomac 4G (Liquid ink)
The only criteria that went into the above selection – is the pens / refills that I currently have. I have used pens of other brands previously, but I dont have them now and therefore they have not been included here (notable being Pilot pens and Parker pens).
